I'm sorry this took so long to respond but it is important that both you know I'am sorry for the loss of your Dad.
Ray was absolutely a solid figure in Merrow as I grew up, he was definitely a man I looked up to and he set an example for the youth in the community to follow.

Cathy, Mike, Wendy, Cait and the Entire Family: I, was so sorry to hear of the passing of Your Father/Father-In-Law/ Grandfather. My Deepest Sympathy and Condolences and Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you at this time. The memory that I, have of him is when I, lived up there when I, was in the first grade, he was my school bus driver. I, was fortunate enough to also live up there again when I, was in 8th, 9th, 10, and 11th grades so I,, saw him at different functions then. He was a great person and will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.

What a great life Ray led and one of the most important people in the Fire Service for Eastern Ct and the State. I knew him from being a TN dispatcher while he was President of TCMAFS, as a paid member of the Mansfield Fire Department and through insurance with Wilcox and Reynolds. In all aspects he was professional.

Thinking of you Cathy during this difficult time. You cared for Ray in a beautiful way by watching out for him, making sure he was always safe and protecting him by letting him drive that tractor! Losing a Dad sucks but I promise you he is and was so darn proud of you.

Although I have worked with Ray for many years in a legal capacity I first met him in the mid-1960's when he attended an insurance conference in Oberlin, Ohio where I was working. The conference had many attendees but everyone knew him as "Uncle Ray." Great guy! My deepest sympathies to all. Sam

I thought the world of Ray. He was my bus driver and always fun to be around. One time he borrowed my giant gag sunglasses and wore them into the office at Vinton School to get a laugh from the ladies in the office. I loved watching him get around on his tractor in his later years and I will miss his warm smile. My love and condolences to Mike, Cathy and the entire family.
