Carol Lee Hayden, 84, of Willimantic, passed to the heavenly father, Monday, March 18, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and friends, just two days shy of her 85th birthday.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late William and Doris (Weaver) Hayden. Her life will be fondly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and James Pengal, nieces Jill (Donald) Johnson, Leslie (James) Crockett, great nephews and nieces, cousins and many faithful friends. She was predeceased by her niece Kathryn Ling. Carol loved smiley faces and trips to the casino. She had a can-do attitude and a kind heart. Carol touched the lives of many people by the way she lived her life. She will be dearly missed.
Carol’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday March 22,2019 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., (Rte. 195), Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass Will be celebrated at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Paul Soup Kitchen, 220 Valley St, Willimantic, CT 06226, a place where she always had a chair at the table.
