Ruth H. Landeck

Ruth Aetna (Hall) Landeck 84, of Chaplin, CT, wife of 59 years of the late Raymond E. Landeck, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 20, 2016, after a brief illness. She was born October 10, 1931 in Mansfield Hollow, CT., the daughter of the late Frank O. and Alice (White) Hall. She graduated in 1949 from Windham High School. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and caregiver. She loved her crafts: knitting, crocheting and basket weaving. She was active in the community including Chairman of the Chaplin School Board, past Matron of the Eastern Star, Sunday school teacher, 4H leader, and contributing "Her" baked beans for the Annual Ham and Bean Supper. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Landeck) Bernier of Storrs CT; step children, Tara and Corey and their families; son Wayne and wife Debbie Landeck, their children Daniel, Katie and Nathan and great granddaughter Sofia of WA state; daughter, Lisa Jo Landeck of Chaplin CT; son, Todd and wife Darcy Landeck; their sons, Max and Chris of Hampton CT; nieces, Karin and husband Jim Metcalf, Kerry Landeck and husband Dan Austin, Terry and husband Brian Cardinal, Harriet and husband Bob Mashuta and other nieces and nephews and her beloved sister Gloria (Hall) John of Norwich CT. She is predeceased by nephews Karl Landeck Jr (Mike), Keith Landeck and Mark Landeck. Calling hours are Friday, September 23, 2016 5-7pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St, Willimantic CT.
