Linda,
I just learned of your mother's passing. I am so very sad to lose a special friend. I met Lois, where else, but at Barnes & Noble in 2005. She was a very special lady and we shared many conversations (and biscottis!) We shared our love for books, cats and spiritual beliefs. She was there for me every minute when I was going through a difficult time. I am blessed to have had her as a friend. Rest in peace, Lois; I love you. My sincere condolences to you, Linda and Rob.

I met Lois at Barnes and Noble about 5 years ago. I used to sit and chat with her while she was having her coffee and snack. I loved talking with her about family. As time went on over the last 1-2 years I would not see her as much and then not at all. I always asked Lauren at the Starbuck's kiosk at Barnes if she had seen her. I went in today and that is when I found out I had lost my friend. I am deeply saddened but I know she is flying with the angels and at peace. God Bless you.

Dear Abt Family and Friends,

I met Lois while working at Windham Town Hall. We had an instant bond. She always had a smile on her face and wonderful stories to share. She would bring me a bag of Lindor Chocolates and confessed she allowed herself to have one piece at night ! So very sorry you have lost a very special person.

Dear Abt Family and all of Lois' friends,

I loved Lois! Each day when i delivered her mail we would chat. She was a kind, beautiful and generous soul, and my heart is broken and she will not be forgetten.

I will think of her everytime I look at, pass on or re-read any of the many books she shared with me.

My sincerest condolences to her family and anyone else whose life was touched and enriched by her wondeful soul.

Rest in Peace dear friend, the world is a better place because you were here.

To the Abt Family,

So sorry to here of Lois's passing.

Lois lived here at Windham Oaks and we lived here also. She had moved next door to Gan-aden Apts. She was a very nice lady and we will miss seeing her when we go walking in the neighborhood. She was always friendly and had an upbeat attitude.

Sincerely,
Ted & Linda

Lois was my neighbor at Windham Oaks for several years and I would still go visit her when she moved to the apartments right behind us. She was a sweet lady. She had a great sense of humor & always talked about her family.

I am very sorry to hear about Lois' passing. I used to work at the bookstore café she frequented. It was clear she genuinely cared about all of us and she was always happy to listen or offer advice. She was a bright and welcomed presence for the three years I worked there. I will never forget her kindness.
