Natalie S. Dodge

Natalie Dodge, 95, of Glen Ridge, Storrs, CT., passed away at Windham Hospital on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. Born in 1923, she was the daughter of Jules and Margaret Simmon. After graduating from high school, she completed secretarial training through the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York. She worked as an executive secretary prior to her marriage to Alan W. Dodge. While he served during World War II she was active in her church and helped others through her work as a practitioner of Christian Science. Along with her husband who owned and operated A&A Electronics in Albertson, Long Island, she raised three children who survive her; Dorothea Cardamone of Vernon, CT., Scott Dodge, of Merrick, NY, and Carolyn Dodge of Montgomery, Alabama. Her grandson, David Cardamone, PhD, is a theoretical physicist living in Spain with his wife Martha. She was loved by her nieces Rev. Allyson Glass and Sharon O’Meara and her nephew Bruce Comiskey. She was close to her sister Ethel who predeceased her. After Alan retired from his business, Natalie and Alan moved to Connecticut in 1995. Alan passed away in 2001. She lived at Glen Ridge for the remainder of her life. She was a loving caregiver for her mother, her husband, and her mother-in-law. There will be no calling hours.
