Mitchell Vincent Gagne, of Scotland, Connecticut, made his voyage to the other side on June 6th, 2019. He was born on May 26th, 1961 in Willimantic, Connecticut, and had recently celebrated his 58th birthday. He will be loved, cherished, and always remembered by his loving wife of 30 years, Becky, and his beloved sons, Harry and Steven. Mitch passed from this life unexpectedly and far too soon. He was always the rock: at his job, for his friends, and especially for his family, who adored him. Mitch always took care of others: family, friends, and strangers alike; he was the first phone call for all those who knew him well and never in his life did he let anyone down. A plumber by trade, Mitch enjoyed working on anything mechanical; his favorite hours were spent with his sons rebuilding antique and classic cars. He was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend anyone could ever be lucky enough to have. His loved ones will carry him in their hearts forever. He will be mourned by his parents, Harold “Hap” and Brenda Gagne of Friendship, Maine; his siblings and their spouses, Debra and Lee Jeffers of Wellington, Florida; Douglas Gagne and Courtney Desautell, and their sons, James and Miles, of East Haddam, Connecticut; and Mark and Michele Gagne of Willimantic, Connecticut; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Mitch also leaves behind his lifelong friends Mike Cosgrove, Mark Davis, Billy McKnight, George Murdoch, Tommy Storrs, Eldon Thompson, and countless others, and rejoins his dear friends Steve Bergeron, Kenny Butler, and George Jacobson. A celebration of Mitch’s life will be scheduled in the near future at the convenience of his family.
