Julie Marie (Brelsford) Hawkins

Julie Marie (Brelsford) Hawkins, 53, of Canterbury, beloved wife of Stephen Hawkins, passed away at home on Monday, February 5, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born May 18, 1964, to William and Joyce (Scholz) Brelsford of Windham, CT.

Julie graduated from Windham High School and was employed by Mohegan Sun Casino. Julie was a fun loving person who enjoyed time with friends and family.

In addition to Julie’s husband, she is survived by, his son Heath Hawkins and his wife Jody of Canterbury, his son Chayne Hawkins and his wife Amanda of Coventry; plus seven grandchildren; her brother, Jamie Brelsford and his wife Kelly of Pennsylvania, plus her nephew John and niece Blair Brelsford.  She was predeceased by her sister Lisa Brelsford and her nephew Jared Brelsford.  Julie’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St.(Rte. 195), Willimantic.  Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10:00am at Potter Funeral Home, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
