Jacqueline (Smith) Anthony

Jacqueline (Smith) Anthony, 80, of Mansfield, CT, passed away May 16, 2019 after a short illness.  She was predeceased by her husband Terrance, parents John and Edna (Arnold) Smith and her brother John.  Jackie was employed by Metropolitan Insurance Co. for 37 years and part-time with Sumner and Sumner Insurance for 5 years.  Jackie is survived by two nephews, John and Jeff Smith; sister-in-law Carol Smith, as well as many other nieces and nephews from Terrance’s side of the family.  Jackie loved to garden, read, watch Jeopardy, Great Britain (having traveled there twice before) and anyone who knew her, knew of her love of animals (she always had a dog and a cat). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT, 06067. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:30am at the New Willimantic Cemetery, on Rte. 32  Willimantic.
