Greg C Graml

May 18, 1931 ~ August 2, 2018 (age 87)

Greg Conway Graml, born on May 18, 1931, succumbed to cancer in the early hours of Thursday, August 2, 2018. Greg studied dance with Martha Graham, but an injury made him unable to pursue a professional dancing career. Greg was a puppeteer in his early teens and went on to join the Pickwick Puppet Theatre in New York City. With that theatre, he performed in a puppet version of “The Magic Flute” at Brooklyn Academy and a puppet version of “Sleeping Beauty” with the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center, as well as with the Detroit Symphony. At Lincoln Center in New York he was in “Master Peter’s Puppet Show” with the Little Orchestra Society.

In 1965, with his life partner Roger, he formed Performing Arts Management and booked concert artists as well as high quality children’s shows throughout the northeast. Later on in life Greg devoted his time to restoring his eighteenth century home in Hampton which remains a work in progress.

Greg follows his parents Mary and Ganiford Graml of West Hartford and brother Ganiford (Buzz) Graml of Simsbury. Surviving are his dear, loving, and mourning friends Lucy, Carol-Sue, Lynda and Roger. There will be no services.
