Charles “Chick” Blish, 86, of North Windham, passed away on June 17, 2018 at Saint Joseph Living Center. He was born in Willimantic on September 16, 1931 to the late Joseph and Marie (Lignar) Feeney. Chick served in the Army in the Korean War and became a member of the VFW. He retired from LTV Steel Company. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan and loved women’s UCONN Basketball. Neighbors, friends and family would check in on him and lend a helping hand from time to time, he will be dearly missed.
Chick was survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Vilma; his step sons, Mark and Lori Jarzabek of Dorchester, New Hampshire, Steven and Sandy Jarzabek of Hudson, Maine; grandchildren, Michael and Beth Jarzabek of Ludlow, Massachusetts, Kurt Jarzabek of Corinth, Maine, Amy and Nate Hamm of Northport, Maine and Mitchell Jarzabek of Dorcheser, New Hampshire; great grandchildren, Amelia, James, and Lydia; sister in law, Eileen Dore of Ashland, New Hampshire. Family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic. Funeral Service will 11:00AM, Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Potter Funeral Home.
