Barry Lewinstein, 68, of Willimantic, CT, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Barry graduated from Roger Williams University and made his career at Stop and Shop. He will be remembered by those who loved him for his heart of gold and his sense of humor. Barry was a master of the “dad joke” and loved to make people laugh. He would give anyone in need the shirt off his back and spending time with family was most important. Barry will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and Stop and Shop crew. He leaves behind his life partner of thirty five years, Jennifer Pease Clark; his daughter, Katie Lewinstein and boyfriend, Bryan; step-daughters, Tracy Brazeal Yanouzas and husband Niko, Suzanne Brazeal- Hearn and husband Robert; step-son Jeremy Brazeal; his cherished grandchildren, Lauren and Nicole Yanouzas, Elijah, Noah and Madelyn Brazeal;

sister, Sandra Kettelle of West Warwick, RI; brother, Allan Lewinstein and wife, Becky of Columbus, OH; his beloved nieces, Laurel Scapicchio, Kimberly Lewinstein and nephew, Andrew Talon and wife, Rhonda and grand niece, Lindsey McGuinness. Barry was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Rosalind Lewinstein of Warwick, RI. Barry’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic.
