I was so sorry to read of Andrea's passing. My ex husband (Paul Sancton) and I were good friends wth Andrea and Stanley in New York, right at the beginning of their marriage. We had many fun times together. I will remember her as a warm and.wonderful friend.

We are saddened to hear of Andrea's passing. We shall fondly remember her as the warm, caring, vibrant, highly intelligent person and teacher she was until Alzheimer's took her from us. She and Stan were valued friends for many years. We were privileged to attend both Marcy and Michael's and David and Mary's weddings and to share those happy occasions with Andrea and Stan and their families. We offer our condolences to Stan and family and to all who knew and loved her.

Andrea's passing is a huge loss for so many of us -- 3-generations of family and counting, friends, workmates, and hundreds of students. I'll always remember her, even when her health was failing, as a warm and cheery presence at family gatherings. I particularly wish Andrea's immediate family, most especially my cousin Stanley, comfort in knowing that you all did right by her to the very end. I wish you all strength in this tough time and, I trust, confidence that through your own good life in the future, Andrea's legacy is in good hands.

I was a student of Andrea (Mrs. Rosenstein to me) at Windham High School. I always enjoyed her class and her style of teaching. She had a big heart and was always very patient. I had the pleasure of going to Europe with her and a few of my classmates. I went shortly after losing my brother in a tragic car accident. I know she was sensitive to this and she helped me have a great time and a trip I still thoroughly appreciate to this day. Her and I rode the Ferris Wheel on the Champs-Elysees in Paris together even though neither of us liked heights - always something I remembered from the trip. I want to extend my condolences to the family and just let you know she was certainly appreciated by her students.
