Keith Joseph Nasin

October 5, 1940 ~ October 19, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Keith Nasin, of Columbia, CT, died October 19. He was born October 5, 1940, in Willimantic, son of the late Joseph S. and Josephine (Turansky) Nasin. He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and attended Northeastern University as well as the Hartford Business School. Over forty years, Keith along with his late brother Mark, owned, operated, and managed J.S. Nasin Company, Windham Sand and Stone, Builders Concrete of Windham and Manchester, and the Windham Waste Management Company. Their commitment and dedication to their businesses resulted in construction and building projects in which included work for the state, US Submarine Base, many colleges and education institutions. He was a member of the Willimantic Elks 1311, Moose Club and the Willimantic Country Club. Keith was a collector of classic and vintage automobiles and a pilot of Helicopters, boats and Earth Moving equipment. To some he was known as “Crazy Nasin”.  Keith is survived by his beloved wife Joyce Elizabeth (Hopkins) Bellisle Nasin of Columbia; her daughters Ellie Bellisle Perron (David) of Falmouth, MA and Stacy Malapetsas, (John) and his granddaughter Joanna Elizabeth of Coventry, CT; a sister Joyce Ann Nasin of Hawaii, and a sister-in-law Joann Nasin of Mystic CT; and several nieces and nephews.

Columbia Volunteer Fire Department, Windham Hospital, Hartford Hospital, Hartford Healthcare, Community Companion and homemaking services of Willimantic, Hartford Healthcare at home and Hospice care.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Windham Hospital Foundation, 112 Mansfield Ave. Willimantic, CT 06226 or the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT.  Keith’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday October 22, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic.  A graveside will be held on Monday October 23, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.  For an online memorial guestbook please visit www.potterfuneralhome.com.
