Evelyn W. Urda, 92, of Ashford, died Monday June 19, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ruth (Selleck) Potter. Evelyn was a 75 year member of the Ashford Grange. She was an active member at Living Proof Church, Ashford and active in many community affairs and organizations. Evelyn enjoyed all gardening and cooking. Evelyn was survived by a son Thomas Wilson; a daughter Joan Gobin and her husband Alvin; a sister Barbara Moore and her husband Arthur; a sister in law Mary Wilson; five grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Melissa Gobin, Adam Wilson, Melanie Wilson, and Ernie Gobin and his wife Toni, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two husbands George Wilson and Paul Urda; a son David Wilson and a great grandson Kyle Wilson. The family would like to thank the hospice staff and Jennifer Brothers for her care and compassion over the last weeks. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 24, 2017 at 11:00am at Living Proof Church, 38 Pompey Hollow Rd. Ashford, CT 06278.
